Rotator Arm |
Two Rotator Arms are needed to fit the dish to the rotator. The arms are identical and
made from 65 mm x 35 mm (2.56" x 38") rectangular hollow steel sections, with nut
inserts for easy mounting of the counterweight arms. The rotator arms
are shipped with pre-drilled holes for quick mounting onto the dish
brackets. Welded onto each rotator arm is a round solid steel bar,
precision machined to fit perfectly into the rotator elevation shaft
holder. A zinc plated finish ensures improved durability |

Counterweight Arm |
Two Counterweight Arms are required to act as support booms for the counterweights. The
counterweight arms are made from 19 mm (0.75") square hollow steel sections and
bent in a zigzag form to provide unobstructed rotator elevation
movement through 180 degrees. The counterweight arms are shipped with
pre-drilled holes and bolts for quick and easy mounting of the
counterweights and fitting to the rotator arms. A zinc plated finish
ensures improved durability. |

Counterweight |
Eight Counterweights with a total mass of 7 kg (15.4 lb) are required to balance out the weight of the
dish. These are mounted in a configuration of four counterweights per
counterweight arm. Each counterweight is 155 mm (6.1") in diameter and made
from 6 mm (0.24") thick mild steel. The counterweights are shipped with
pre-drilled holes for quick and easy mounting onto the counterweight
arms. A zinc plated finish ensures improved durability.
